Sat nav gone completely

Hi, recently bought a 2020 XC60 B5 with 50000 miles on the clock.The sat nav was out dated so downloaded new map onto a brand new usb stick 32gb formatted to fat32.I checked the map had downloaded correctly using the option on Volvo site.I put usb into car and all was going well till it stopped about half way through and when I checked on the car the sat nav had gone completely.I booked car into my local Volvo and they have come back with me needing a brand new hard drive at the cost of £1500 .Anyone else had this happen to them
