With gas prices climbing again (premium is around $1.85/L here in Ontario today), I’m curious what other owners are doing.
I have a 2023 Volvo XC60 B6 and Volvo recommends premium, but the engine can obviously adjust timing if you run regular.
For those who have tried both:
I’m not trying to cheap out if premium really makes a difference, just curious what real-world experience from other B6 owners has been.

- Do you always run premium (91–93)?
- Has anyone run 87 regularly and noticed much difference in performance or fuel economy?
- Any long-term concerns from people who have done it for a while?
