Hi, I am hoping some can shed light on my issue.

I have a 2018 XC60 R design AWD D4
I have had a humming noise coming from what I think is the front left. The noise starts at about 12mph all the way up to what ever speed.
It's a constant noise which doesn't change in pitch or sound and gets slightly louder when car gets warm.
The car is running on continental tyres and hasn't got any loss of performance.

Spoke to a few mechanics and everyone said wheel bearing. First though we rotated the tyres (front to back) no change, yesterday had the wheel bearing changed and its still the same.

I am due to tow a caravan around Europe in 3 weeks so want to try and get it sorted.
Could it be the tyres, the front diff-transfer box, centre bearing on driveshaft, etc etc.

I look forward to hearing your replies.

Hi,

New here but I have exactly the same issue with my -19 T8. It sounds like humming noise is coming from the right side of the car. I already changed the right front wheel bearing without any luck.. I also have two sets of tires(summer/winter) and you can hear the noise with both of them.

Really weird thing is that the noise pitch is not changing with the engine speed or driving speed. Gas or electricity. Only the noise level goes up when you drive faster.

Did you find the reason for the noise in your car?
